Dr. Suleiman Mwangi

Dr. Mwangi is a Senior Lecturer in Education Communication and Technology at St. Paul’s University, Kenya. He has worked as a Campus Departmental Coordinator Head of Department, Dean and Ag. Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Affairs and lecturer for 20 years in three universities in Kenya. He previously taught at a Technical College and Secondary School for four years.

He holds a PhD in Education Communication and Technology from Kenyatta University (2011), a Master of Education Technology (2000) and Bachelor of Education (Arts) Music (1996) degrees from Kenyatta University and a Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Kenya Institute of Management (2001).

He is a certified Blended Learning Designer, Developer and Trainer by Staff Educational Development (SEDA), United Kingdom and a trained Higher Education Leader through the International Deans Course Africa 2021/22 by University of Osnabruck, German Rectors Conference (HRK) and Center for Higher Education (CHE), Germany.

Currently, he is the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at St. Paul’s University, Kenya, a member of the University Council and a University Board of Management in the same University positions he has held since 2016.  He is a member of the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) Academic Committee representing the NCCK and a Commission of University Education (CUE), Kenya Peer Reviewer besides being a consultant and trainer in higher education Pedagogy and Blended Learning.

He has published articles in peer reviewed Journals and book chapters. He has also attended and made presentations in international conferences. He is an Assistant Editor, Editorial Committee member and peer reviewer for the St. Paul’s University, African Multidisciplinary and European Alliance for Innovation (EAI) Journals. His main interests in research, publication and consultancy work are in higher education pedagogy, blended learning and higher education assessment and evaluation.
